Herkules USA Corporation in Ford City, PA, a leading international machine manufacturer, that builds and remanufactures roll grinders and lathes as well as Union boring mills, is seeking to employ a Purchasing Agent.
In this role applicant must have the ability to communicate in the U.
S.
and internationally, with vendors and customers monitoring purchased materials.
Purchasing Agent
Responsibilities:
Place orders for materials and services as assigned.
Expedite orders and track late deliveries as required or within budgetary authority by using Excel Spreadsheets along with our ERP Management Information System.
Issue purchase orders, change notices, resolve supply issues to meet customer demand, return of merchandise, and resolve invoicing issues Converse with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedule.
Review proposals and quotes; negotiate and communicate with management, production or engineering on status of orders; evaluate material shortage Identify and evaluate sources and vendors Maintains and/or repair vendor relationships Control, monitor and analyze vendor quality Communicate with all internal departments to determine any additional purchasing needs Prepare and conduct negotiations to obtain highest feasible savings in conjunction with management Provides supplier information to internal business partners Must be knowledgeable in Excel spreadsheets Candidate must be organized, have the ability to communicate and work well with others, the needed skills to track purchases closely; using Excel and our ERP Management System.
Salary offered based on experience and abilities.
