8 Full-time 3 hours ago Full Job Description Description THIS POSITION REQUIRES APPLICANTS TO BE TOBACCO AND NICOTINE FREE The Hamilton County Health Department is a tobacco and nicotine free campus.
The Hamilton County Health Department prohibits the hiring of individuals who use tobacco or nicotine products in any form.
All individuals who are offered a position with the Health Department are screened for tobacco or nicotine use as part of the post-offer health screening.
Individuals whose post-offer health screening results are verified positive for tobacco or nicotine use will be disqualified from employment, their job offers will be withdrawn, and they will be disqualified from employment with the Hamilton County Health Department for one (1) year from the date of the post-offer health screening.
When this position is located directly within the Federal Homeless Health Clinic, applicants for hire must meet the Federal COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate requirements and be fully vaccinated or be deemed eligible for a medical or a religious exemption.
Additionally, there are a number of other positions within the Hamilton County Health Department that provide operational services/support to the Federal Homeless Health Clinic.
Based on Federal Guidelines, applicants for those positions must also meet the Federal COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate requirements and be fully vaccinated or be deemed eligible for a medical or a religious exemption.

The Hamilton County Health Department has a responsibility to respond quickly and efficiently when public health emergencies occur.
All Hamilton County Health Department employees are responsible for ensuring their contact information is current and they are accessible should a public health emergency arise.
The Hamilton County Health Department maintains a call down system to store contact information and mobilize staff in the event of an emergency.
During a public health emergency, all staff are required to respond should a call to mobilize be made.
During a public health emergency, work hours for any and all Hamilton County Health Department employees are subject to modification to meet the needs of the community.
Under general supervision, authorizes monitors and ensures compliance of food vendors under contract to the Woman, Infant and Children (WIC) nutrition food voucher program in Hamilton County.
Essential Functions:

) Tasks The Vendor Coordinator interacts with and provides supervision to vendors on issues related to benefit redemption, agreement violations, complaints, and allegations of program abuse.
The Vendor Coordinator is responsible for the evaluation and monitoring of vendors within their service area.
Additionally, the Vendor Coordinator:
Recruits vendors as needed and serves as the primary vendor contact.
Communicates and coordinates vendor services with WIC Program Coordinator and other agency staff.
Promotes a positive relationship with vendors as well as community for the WIC program/Health Department.
Evaluates vendors during the application process.
Trains new WIC vendors in their responsibilities prior to authorization.
Completes the Level III certification of electronic cash register systems used by vendors.
Provides vendors with monthly food redemption summaries as requested.
Investigates and responds to complaints received from both vendors and clients and issues warning letters when indicated.
Monitors and evaluates vendors as instructed by the State Vendor Manager throughout the vendor agreement period.
Sends warning letters to vendors for violations as noted during monitoring visits and compliance investigations.
Participates in administrative hearings, and appeals as needed.
Maintains vendor files with all pertinent documentation not entered into the TNWIC system.
Provides annual training to all WIC vendors.
Provides technical assistance and additional training to vendors as needed to enhance WIC service.
Documents vendor related activities in TNWIC.
The Vendor Coordinator monitors and ensures that no conflict of interest occurs with any vendor in the Region/Metro Agency's jurisdiction Works in conjunction with Central Office Vendor Management staff to complete vendor training Assists and supports all WIC program services and activities as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Knowledge of federal, state and county laws, rules, regulations, guidelines, policies and procedures related to WIC merchant participation and compliance.
Knowledge of on site surveying and monitoring for compliance.
Knowledge of geographical layout of county.
Knowledge of WIC program rules, regulations and guidelines for client participation.
Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
Knowledge of investigative methods related to abuse and fraud of WIC participants.
Skill providing program information to merchants and clients.
Skill completing on site monitoring for compliance with WIC guidelines and program policies and procedures.
Skill maintaining computer data based systems related to price reports, sanctions, merchant data input, volume sales and other information necessary for federal reporting.
Skill utilizing verbal and written communication in the development of informational packets and provision of information to clients.
Skill utilizing customer service/public relations techniques in responding to inquiries and complaints.
Skill establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
Skill effectively communicating in both oral and written form.
Minimum Qualifications An Associate's Degree in a business related field with a minimum of two (2) years of direct work experience in a business related field.
A valid driver's license is required.
OR A minimum of four (4) years of direct work experience with developing trainings, making presentations, running reports, and providing technical assistance.

PREFERRED
Qualifications:
Bilingual - English & Spanish - preferred Experience in working directly with WIC clients and vendors is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work requires on site monitoring for compliance.
Work requires limited physical effort primarily involving sitting, standing, and walking.
This position may require the occasional or regular lifting and carrying of up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
Periods of extensive computer keyboarding may also be required.
Off-site presentations may also be required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
